Original @humanbot art by moi - pen and ink on post it note with digital painting

This is not a place for self promotion. Drop links to posts by other authors in the comments.

Aspiring @curie curators please read this entire post and let me know you would like to become a @curie curator when you first drop a link!

READ ME - MAJOR CHANGES FOR VERSION 3.0

A lot of things have changed with version 3.0, particularly for aspiring @curie curators, so here is a restatement of the rules of the Curator Incubator. For a complete change log please see the bottom of this post.

  • DO NOT DROP LINKS TO YOUR OWN POSTS HERE. The Curator Incubator is a place for curators. Curation is about finding quality posting by other authors. Please see my step-brother's account (@thehumanbot), run by @sanmi, for an amazing charity upvote service that allows self promotion and upvotes quality original content.

  • Anyone can use the Curator Incubator to drop links to posts by other authors, to gain them more exposure and possibly an upvote from one of my accounts (this is not guaranteed). You do not have to do anything special beyond dropping off the link in the comments.

  • Curators interested in earning my recommendation to become a @curie curator should clearly state your intentions when you first drop a link. In your first comment here: tell me that you are interested in curating for @curie, tell me why, tell me what you will be curating, tell me how you engage with the Steem community and make it a better place.

The rest of these instructions are ONLY for curators interested in @curie curation.

  • Make sure you have looked through the submissions to the previous Curator Incubator posts, and in particular, my responses to submissions. Prospective curators make the same mistakes over and over. Please save yourself and me some time by learning from the mistakes that other people have already made publicly here.

  • Related to the above point, make sure you check posts for plagiarism. Google search for paragraphs of text; reverse Google image search for images.

  • Please review the most recent "Expanded Guidelines" from @curie prior to submitting links here. Once you have read and understood the guidelines as they relate to various types of posting, please submit what you feel are "exceptional" posts by authors who have received little significant reward lately. This is relatively subjective - but please only submit a post if you can honestly answer that you feel it is exceptional, and don't submit a post by a poster that has hundreds of dollars of pending payouts.

  • Make sure you also explain why you have submitted the post. Explain to me why you think it is exceptional, and why it meets the @curie guidelines.

  • IT MAY TAKE ME DAYS TO REVIEW YOUR SUBMISSION.

  • Please interact with previous submissions in the comments here. If I have not yet responded to a previous submission, please review the submission yourself and reply to the submission here with your take on whether it is a good submission or a bad submission from the lens of a @curie submission. This is a MAJOR change from previous versions. Previously I said to only reply here with positive comments to submissions. I am now inviting you to give an honest assessment of the submission. Keep it civil and polite and do not attack the submitter - focus on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the submission. To be clear - I will not be impressed if you tear down a submission and I personally find the submission to be exceptional. Bonus points if you can quote me from my comments to previous submissions (even/especially from past Curator Incubator posts) to back up your reasoning.

  • I will critique these comment reviews of other submissions just like I critique each post submission, and will be considering these to be at least as important as the links you submit.

  • DO NOT DM (DIRECT MESSAGE) ME ABOUT BECOMING A CURATOR UNLESS I TELL YOU TO.

Keep it respectful everyone and good luck finding truly exceptional original posting!
