Addressing Concerns About Consistent Curation, Fair Rewards Distribution, & Insuring @Creatives SustainabilitysteemCreated with Sketch.

An experienced curator, @Stonemaiden who is eager to help out with this project has highlighted a major flaw in the curation process that I had planned to implement for @creatives.

Consistent Curation:

I completely overlooked the fact that a single person will have a personal taste that may not match the submissions that week. This inbuilt nature may harm the chances of certain submissions from being selected as contest winners, a single curator may also be having a bad day when it's time to make decisions. I'm not sure that this question has been addressed before in the Steemit community.

@Stonemaiden has put forward a very sensible solution to this problem. A qualified jury of curators (minimum of three, more is better) should be responsible for collectively judging the winners of each competition. This additional layer of complexity will slow down the rate of growth for @Creatives, but I believe that it's necessary for longterm success.

Fair Rewards Distribution:

Even though all transfers of Steem, Steem Power, & SBD are recorded on the blockchain it's still possible for contest hosts or myself to siphon a little money away from the prize pool if no one is looking. Each week or month I will be compiling a summary of the reward payments to contest winners by all contest hosts and myself, checking and double checking that the rewards paid out to winners match the contest hosts SBD payment (All SBD paid out should be paid to winners.) and providing screenshots of this too.

Insuring @Creatives Longterm Sustainability:

The reality is that this project will take up lot of the contest hosts time and my own. We should be rewarded monetarily for our efforts. I propose implementing a system which I believe solves the payment issue for hosts and myself while also increasing genuine engagement on our posts by incentivising those who comment to do so.

The ten minute club

This follows the general principle of @Creatives, rewards grow as popularity (Steem Power) grows. Once an upvote from this account is worth anything substantial the ten minute club will be implemented. A contest host leaves the first comment on their posts something to the effect of

"Respond to this comment within 10 minutes for a chance to win a 90% upvote from @Creatives"

@Creatives then upvotes the hosts comment (so they get paid). The host then selects a comment to win the upvote from @Creatives. I then upvote their comment and reply with a message notifying them that they won the upvote, then liking my own comment.

This system ensures that winners still get the full SBD payout, the hosts get paid and the fans get rewarded for supporting the content. There's no downside. It also incentivises hosts and myself to keep working since this is the only SBD payout we get. It's in everyones interest to grow the steem power of this account and the other hosts accounts.

Eventually the upvote will be worth upwards of $100 acting as an adequate incentive for hosts, myself and commenters.

Why a 90% upvote instead of 100% you ask? Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't give 3 100% immediately after each other. I want myself, the hosts, and the lucky commenter to be paid the same and 90% will ensure this while being much more efficient than waiting for voting power to increase. This will be repeated for every contest.

A step by step tutorial will be produced for hosts to easily follow parts of this system.

Feedback in the form of Upvotes, Resteems, and especially comments & criticisms is highly welcomed.

Donations of SBD & Steem will be used for whatever the donator wishes, Let me know in the memo!

Rewards for this post are set to 100% Power Up

Wow, where did that 10 minutes go? I've been seriously out of the loop.

It's a great incentive to increase engagement. What do you think of the idea?
