💎 The Top #11 List - Discovering Steemit’s Most Radical Creative Thinkers Vol. 03 - Newbie SpotlightsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #curation7 years ago (edited)

Today's Top 11 List is a collection of verifiably-genuine introductory posts, written by some of Steemit's most radical new arrivals. Each of their articles is made prominent by the #introduceyourself tag, and I consider them to be strong evidence of their greatness as creative thinkers.

The Top #11 List, Vol. 03

#11. From the Hills of Ireland to Planet Steem, A Wolfy Hello! by @wolfcat

You've got to see @wolfcat's exciting introductory post, first and foremost. To me, it brings a warm, fuzzy feeling when a writer brings so much heart into his/her word choices. @wolfcat's article is full of adventure, from her surprising way with words to her action-packed pictures from around the world. I mentioned to @wolfcat: "You are poetry in motion, with raspberries on top. Your travel photos are awe-inspiring. Because you have the spirit to sit in a cliffside waterfall and lay on top of a tiger, I’m confident you can manage the ukulele without losing any limbs."

Will you help me to welcome @wolfcat to the world of Steemit?

#10. I'm super excited about the possibility of existing in a Meritocracy by @corinnaherden

Bang! This gal, @corinnaherden, is on fire right from the start. Here, she brings us right into her backstory, so we can quickly begin to understand her journey, and the destiny she's working toward. Her story is a familiar one to me, relating with the Gen X expectations of achieving the American dream through education and dedication. Life hasn't been easy for her, but I get the sense that she is really L-I-V-I-N! She's an artist, with a background in opera and a special interest in mermaids, and so I imagine Steemit will be a great outlet where she can express her creativity. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the art in her.

Will you reach out to @corinnaherden and let her know she's appreciated here?

#09. Hi Steemit! Just a quick intro by @surfincity

This guy is a surfer dude, so I like him from the get-go. He's also a videographer and all-around creative person, with a sense of humor. Most interestingly, he and his girlfriend are thieves of Trader Joe's snack samples. So yeah, he's sure to be a star of Steemit, as long as he doesn't get busted for the thievery.

Will you let @surfincity know he can hang-ten and wipeout right here on Steemit, and we'll support him?

#08. Hi Steemit, after a few months @heymattsokol finally got me on here. Raleigh, NC Indy-Musician by @emelanson

Simple intro here, made more interesting by a couple of links to some songs he's recorded on video. He mentions a community outreach program where he leads with his guitar. He's kind of a thrasher, in a good way, and I like what I'm hearing from him. Makes me think he'll be a superb addition to the Steemit #openmic, which is one of my very favorite aspects of Steemit so far. In case the #openmic is new to you, look for @luzcypher's blog – he's the one who created the show, now on its 50th week. I highly recommend this to any musician who is ready to share their talents.

Will you help me invite our brother @emelanson here to keep on rockin'!

#07. Introducing QiQi 5 Year Old Artist, Singer, Dancer & Radiant Being! Video & Steemit Verification Post by @qiqi-power

Oh man, this little girl has major star power. I've had the pleasure of meeting her once, at the @gardenofeden, where she and her sister showed my family how to forage for wild mushrooms. So exciting to see a younger generation here on Steemit. Her arrival makes me think my kids might be interested too. I imagine I'll show them QiQi's blog one day, and maybe they'll be motivated to join us. See QiQi’s First Steemit Paintings for an extra treat.

Will you join me in giving this great, big, precious, little girl @qiqi-power a proper greeting?

#06. Meet Megan Elaine Fleming by @circleseeker

Personally, I'm a fan of conversations about spirituality. So I imagine I would enjoy a chat with @circleseeker. Here, in her introductory post, she jumps way "out there," with her mention of The Urantia Book, which is a book I'm familiar with. It's dense, though, and I haven't had the inclination to read it really, but I definitely paged through it and had my mind blown and heart opened lots of layers. According to Wikipedia, the book "aims to unite religion, science and philosophy, and its enormous amount of material about science is unique among literature claimed to be presented by celestial beings." That's write, it's written by celestial beings! Yeah, and from there, she shares certain artworks that hint at her interest in Egyptian hieroglyphics, sacred geometry, extra terrestrials, ultimately arriving at a similar message about transcendence. I'm interested in seeing where she goes with a boost of positive feedback here on Steemit.

Will you reach out to @circleseeker and co-create the circle she's seeking?

#05. Introducing a New Quantummonk, Lila Sophia Tresemer, Divine Feminine, Guardian and Warrior Woman for a Global community. by @quantummonks

Just when I thought I found my spiritualist of the list, @quantummonks arrived in my Steemit feed. This Steemian mentions Sophia, which is kind of like a name for "Creator," in my interpretation. What feels synchronistic to me is the fact that I'm reading The Sophia Code right now, which is described by Google Books as follows: "A declaration of your sovereign divinity, The Sophia Code is a visionary sacred text for the Divine Feminine Christ movement sweeping the planet now. This book is a living transmission encoded with direct revelations to activate your important role as a revolutionary wayshower for humanity's awakening." Whoa. Yeah, so this book is extraordinary in every sense of the word. I told @quantummonks I am feeling appreciative of the message in this post, calling us to action as the imaginers and of a brighter world where we can grow together. Here's a passage I highlighted in The Sophia Code just yesterday:

The spiritual purpose of your mind is to interface with multiple dimensional realities that are involved with bringing that which did not exist before into physical form. The physical co-creation of your true desires, as orchestrated by a willing mind, reveals the power of your heart to fulfill your destiny.

Will you be in touch with @quantummonks and see what other extraordinary books are out there?

#04. Introduceyourself: A former journalist, amateur economist, writer, poet and mother by @somena

OK, here's a person with a vision. @somena has a rich heritage, belonging to the First Nations people of British Columbia, Canada, and she has a dream of translating Goodnight Moon into her native language: Hul'qumi'num. This feels like a brilliant goal to me, and I believe Steemit will help her get there. @somena's artwork is very impressive to me too. Here, she displays some woven hats, made from cedar, and she shares her beaded hummingbirds too. I have a feeling one of her hummingbirds will decorate my altar space on day.

Will you reach out to @somena and let her know she has a place of belonging here in our Steemit community?

#03. Chef Turned Game Developer, This is my Story by @chimeraggeddon

This newcomer is a French chef, a camera operator, and a video game developer, making him a great prospect for the Steemit platform. He's currently in his senior year of college, aspiring to create a game for us to enjoy one day, and he promises to document the journey in game development though this final school year. Yeah, I'm thinking he's a natural Steemian. Three cheers for this man's creative spirit: Hip-Hip Hooray! Hip-Hip Hooray!! Hip-Hip Hooray!!!

Will you check out @chimeraggeddon's post and give some good vibes?

#02. Out of the Shadows and Into the Light by @outtayourbox

Some of us know this is Suicide Prevention Week. Our guy here, @outtayourbox, mentions some of the ways he's dealing with depression, and coping with thoughts of suicide. I just want to honor this young man's life. Can we all take a deep breath and hold a moment of silence for him?

Thank you. It's likely that many/most of us share the thoughts expressed by @outtayourbox, and my sincere hope is that we can all give ourselves the time and space to remember what a gift this life really is. Every individual life is irreplaceable. I myself went through a period of depression, and I can relate with the issues of an "ego," and I've also seen the aftermath of a suicide incident that tore people to pieces, and so my heart really goes out to @outtayourbox. I appreciate his vulnerability here, and I wish for him to be surrounded with love and lightness. Surely this Steemit community will light a candle for him. Maybe we can be vigilant for him, and for all of us. Let's let this new Steemian know he is accepted and embraced exactly as he is.

Will you light a candle for @outtayourbox?

#01. Our First Month Homesteading by @aibell

Here on Steemit, I see a lot of valuable articles on the subject of homesteading. We're all familiar with the real trailblazers in this area, like @papa-pepper and @quinneaker, to name just a couple. There are countless others here too, with expertise in related topics such as permaculture, Earthships, organic farming, outdoor survival... Such a fun area of Steemit. Homesteading is relatable to all of us, I'm guessing, whether we live in rural environments or urban cities, because it shows us the ways of being in nature as we learn to align with our Nature. This introductory article by @aibell describes her first month as a homesteader. This is the classic hero's journey of the farm mouse who goes to the city and then returns to the farm with the lessons she's learned. And still there is much to learn.

Will you say howdy to @aibell, and wish her "Happy Trails," into her homestead?

Thank You

To all of the Steemians listed here, I thank you for your stories. You inspire me. Your unique ways of putting yourselves out there and trying something new is worthy of recognition, my brothers and my sisters. I hope you feel my peace, love, and respect. Thanks to you, too, dear reader. Hugs and high-fives!

Hi @cabelindsay, thank you for the mention. Yes, humanity has an amazing story, that we need re-member. We are all members of Gaia's ancient story, and that story continues through us as a tapestry of threads of wisdom that we weave together, now and into the future.
The purpose of the page at @quantummonks is to give voice to many who's soul purpose has been to speak their message into the void, and many are unrecognised.
Our message will track our calling, from the story of Gaia Sophia, above, to the messages from the Mayan Calendar and onward to people like Teihard de Chardin, who speaks of our future. Its is in my mind " the new story of Being Human" and gives us faith that we have a purpose as part of this. It is not an easy path, but its one we have all individually chosen. I hope you don't mind, but I will add a link here to a previous post that could interest our amazing community here on Steemit .. https://steemit.com/life/@quantummonks/you-are-unique-both-science-and-the-ancients-tell-us-this
Next upcoming Wisdom Monk, I will be adding is Jasmuheen, a Breatharian and has lived a yogic lifestyle of "pranic nourishment " for 4 decades.. amazing women.
So thank you @cabalindsay for being a Master Weaver, it will be a pleasure sharing our journey together.
