Natural beauty of Cunda

This amazing place is Cunda, it is located in Ayvalık. It is in aegean sea region and in Turkey Cunda is one of the five biggest island in aegean sea. Nearly 3.000 people live in island however at summer this number become nearly 20.000. Cunda is very touristic place; especially diving, water sports, olive productions and restaurants are very popular. When you go between Ayvalık and Cunda you can see the first bosphorus bridge of Turkey.

There are small islands near the Cunda and you can go these islands with boat trips. In seaside there are many fish restaurants, of course their marine products are very delicious in addition most popular parts of these restaurants are side dishes. Some historical places in island are Evangelistriya, Taksiyarhis Church, Ai Dimitri Ta Salina and Ai Yorgi. Taksiyarhis Church is now used as Rahmi Koç Museum, there are classic cars, different types of toys, old marine equipments exhibited in Rahmi Koç Museum. When I visited Cunda I stayed in Nisi Hotel. It was really nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The people who work in the hotel were helpful, kind and debonaire. You can visit Ayvalık and Cunda on springs and summer, I am sure that you will have great time!!
