Barbaric Culture Exposition : The tears of a Woman

Africa our pride, rich with cultures,Nigeria it's child is not left behind in the variety of cultures.

As a young child, we watched home Videos(Nollywood) depicting the various cultures and traditions of our beloved country Nigeria ranging from the male child saga(a woman has a place in the husband's house only if she has a male child or male children) to the plight of a widow who will be subjected to seclusion, oath taking,drinking of the water used to wash the dead body and even hair scraping
A lot of innocent women have been subjected to this Ill treatment on the basis of having a hand in the death of her husband either as a lunatic roaming the street or drops dead.She was a victim of diabolical fights, a woman secretly she'd tears, alone, she confronts her fears

Overtime we thought this tradition has been abolished with the introduction of Christianity and Western education but amazingly some part of our beloved country still holds high this tradition.
Releasing the hurt in my heart a close one is about to be subjected to this ill treatment not even as a widow but as someone whose husband is sick.

You may ask why would she be subjected to such treatment with the husband being alive?
She's accused of infidelity and is said to be the cause of her husband's sickness.
A man already diagnosed with PROSTRATE CANCER, yet his family are bent on the woman's oath taking and has been banned from seeing her sick husband or going close to her children.

Helpless she is with no one coming to her aid, even the government can't protect her,her plight is all because she has just female children,they want to see her end and get the husbands properties with the hospital statement that the man won't live for long.

If they succeed in achieving their aim, what becomes of the innocent children in the midst of this fight,currently they are out of school, these smart kids education are already being jeopardized.

I fear for the future of these children
I weep for the culture and those who started it.
It's our fight,an infringement on the right of a woman, no freedom.
How can the situation be salvaged to protect her and other women who may be subjected to this torture in the future?

A call for intervention,total outlaw and not part.
