Tradition, Myth or reality
Venezuela, country located in the south of America with a population of approximately 31,400,000 where about 40% are believers of the mythology called as spiritualism. Spiritualism is the doctrine by which people can have contact with the beyond, with a family member or close friend with whom you would like to have a few words or thank you for something you never managed to tell them in life.
To carry out these practices, believers must put all power to God who for them is the one who can do everything and the maximum leader, some define this practice as sorcery or black magic because for its believers it is only a way to connect the spirit with the man to be able to arrive at the peace that all look for.
However, this spiritual connection casts doubt on the part of the different religions that are handled in that country since there are people who incorporate spirits of the dead in front of altars with ceramic figures of those who according to history were heroes or enterprising and recognized people of the time of the old world is to say Indians, blacks and politicians. Among these figures is characterized the most powerful according to them or the mother of the spirits who was Maria Lionza or Goddess Yara.

Maria Lionza or Goddess yara in America represents a simile of the goddess Venus and Gea, goddess of peace, love, harmony, always related to the magic of water, thunder, perfumes, forests, mountains. It also represents the universal mystery of femininity and love and other representations of nature.
The practice to achieve the connections between the spirit and man is done only with the incorporation of the spirits, because for them only people with material or gift of being able to receive spirits are able to take their world to another level, ie his soul leaves his body and gives way to a spirit that this person has invoked, now well not only that, everything must also be respected certain things like the instruments, be it a red ribbon on his head and the so-called protections that are like amulets that hang from your body. The ritual begins with cigars, rum and lit candles all this to receive the invoked entity that is able to discover your secrets or reveal the past, present and future of people who are in the ritual.
At the end of the session the spirit leaves the body and gives way to the soul of the person so that he returns with normality continuing with his normal life. For believers these methods have saved lives because according to their belief there are things that science can not cure.
