It is a beautiful morning at this side of the world and what Nigerians love to do is to greet and greet properly.
Nigerians have the habit of greeting until you get frustrated.
We have different slang's of greeting for every occasion.

There are majorly three ethnic groups in Nigeria and they include;

The Yoruba's

The Yoruba's are believed to be the most cultured ethnic group in Nigeria.
They Yoruba females usually go down on their knees to greet, while the male prostrate. While greeting an elder in the Yoruba kingdom, they look out for body language and expression and if they are not satisfied with the way you have greeted, they will ask you to do it over again.

The Yoruba's usually have a particular word attached to their greetings which is EKU, in the morning they say Eku aro which means good morning, Eku osan which means good afternoon and Eku irole which means good evening.

The Igbo's

The Igbo's say good morning as Ututu Oma, good afternoon as Efife Oma , and good evening as Mgbede Oma.
The Igbo's greet by shaking and slightly bending their heads.
Thier attires are really beautiful and amazing. When you see Igbo brides, you become speechless.

The Hausa's

I am not really certain about this culture, but most times I have seen the female squat while greeting their elders.
They say Ina Kwana as good morning, Barka da yamma as good afternoon and Allah ya ba mu alheri as good night, they as well have beautiful cultural attires and their brides are really beautiful.

So in the three ethnic groups that we have here in Nigeria, I say; Ekaro, Ututu Oma and Ina Kwana to all great steemians this morning, and I wish you a great day ahead.
