Culture of Bangladesh: It is different, it is mesmerising

Culture is the term which differentiate a country or group from others .The people of !Bangladesh have their own way of life and this is what we call culture. There many social groups with different types of cultures. The culture of Bangladesh refers to the culture which has evolved over centuries and encompasses all cultural diversity of several social groups of Bangladesh . Language,religion,literature ,clothes, philosophy ,distinct cuisine, music,festivals ,sports,tradition. etc are the fundamental aspects of the culture of Bangladesh.

Religion:

Different people of different religions perform their rituals in a festive mood. Holiday has been declared by government on all important religious festivals. Religion and culture goes side by side. Bangladesh is a country with 98% muslims and 87% of the population in Bangladesh is constituted by Muslims. . Hindus,and Buddhists also live here peacefully.

culinary tradition:

Bangladesh is well known and distinct for its distinctive culinary tradition. Rice is the staple food of Bangladesh. Steamed rice is served with variety of vegetables and curry . These are smokey and delicious! Egg,fish and meat are extremely popular here. The people of Bangladesh like sweets and the sweets are really so sweet which are mostly made of milk and sugar .Bangladeshis get fish from ponds and fresh-water-sea. They also like the fish from the sea. Beef curry is the most common and favourite curry in Bangladesh. .

Religious festivals:
Religious festivals are the part and parcel of Bangladeshi culture. EId ul-Fitr is the most important festival for the Muslims in Bangladesh. So it has become an important aspects of our culture. Eid ul-Adha is the second most celebrated and important festival in Bangladesh. The kurabani is the difference between Eid ul-Fitr and Adha. Durga puja is one of the largest religious festival for Hindus which is wide celebrated across the country among the Hindus.

Celebrations:

Pohela Boishak is widely celebrated in Bangladesh across the country. It is the first day of Bengali calendar . People bathe early in the morning, they usually visit the relative and they dressed in new clothes. In the Pohela Boishakh fair is arranged around the whole country where traditional handicrafts ,food,toys,sweets are sold with joyous mood. On this day the most colourful festival takes place in Dhaka,the capital of Bangladesh. Large number of people gather under the banyan trees at Ramna park. The whole country become colourful. The educational institutes are arranged beautifully and colourfully in joyous mood by the students and teacher. In the festivals singers sing, dancer dance...all are in festive mood!

In bangladesh the harvest festival is called Nabanna . It is the first day of Agrahyan.
Language day is celebrated widely across the whole country. It brings us all under one ideal. It reminds us that once we sacrificed our lives for our language,once we died for it and once we were massacred by the Pakistanis for it. But we fought hard and established our language as the mother tongue of our country. These all are the parts of our culture.

Weddings:

Wedding is the part of our culture. It is the day when two persons unite to live together under the laws of Creator . Though nowadays we see mehedi shandha, gaye holud in every marriage ceremony as common. But it is not the perfect rituals for Muslims though it is common as a cultural activities. Besides some common rituals all the community of different religion have their own activities during marriage.

Clothes:
In every country people wear different types of clothes. Ours are different also in terms of style,design and quality. Punjabi,lungi, shirt,pant are the common attire for men and sharee is main and traditional dress for women.

sports :
Kabaddi , Hadudu are the traditional sports of Bangladesh. Nowadays cricket is the most popular game in Bangladesh. Once football was more popular than cricket in Bangladesh. So sports is an essential part of not only others but also our culture.

tradition
Culture and tradition can not be two different things but these are one for another. Several traditionals rules and rituals are now the most valuable parts of our culture. The tradition of food,clothing, learning, obeying the elders etc. all are the parts of culture, or are the culture.

Literature , Drama , Music:

These are the fundamental parts of our culture. Culture pass from one generation to other by the help of literature, music, drama. These are the medium which keeps culture alive.

Though we have talked a lot about culture in terms of facts. Do not forget that it is you who is the part of culture. You learn different cultural values, and culture throughout your life and it grows with you or you grow with it!
