There Was A Time When You Had To Earn It
There was a time when, if you wanted to be considered a noble, virtuous person, then you actually had to do something noble or virtuous. Let's say someone dropped a $20 bill on the sidewalk, but didn't notice. If you picked it up and handed it back to the person then that was regarded as a virtuous act. If someone was being bullied and you stood up for them, then that was a noble act.
Today, however, you can instantly bestow virtue upon yourself just by talking shit. All you have to do is say you are "going green," or "turning vegan," or "hope and change," or any other mindless left-wing slogan. You don't actually have to do anything mind you. In fact, you don't even have to practice what you preach. In fact you could be so hypocritical that you behave even worse that those right wingers do in these regards. It is enough to just spout out this crap from your mouth in front of your dumb friends. Young people today are constantly patting themselves on the back for being such great social justice warriors. Too bad they don't know anything.

There was a time in order to be considered a rebel or a badass you had to do something risky like get a motorcycle and drive the wrong way down a one way street, or join the military or police, or defend a woman from a mugger, or become a bouncer. Guys back then would get in shape, work hard, compete, achieve, and even get a tattoo displaying membership in an elite group.
Today, in order to be a rebel badass, all you have to do is get a tattoo basically. You can be the skinniest or fattest out of shape dork, get a barbed wire tat around your bicep, and now you are a supposed instant badass - poof! Add to that piercings and hair dye as well. You no longer have to risk any physical harm or danger in order to be a rebel. All one has to do is engage in self mutilation and color one's hair the same hue as rotten meat - wallah!
The worst part is, in an attempt to be seen by one's peers as a wonderful person, today's youth preach beliefs that not only don't make sense, but are entirely antithetical to what they are preaching. For instance, they oppose the border wall and regurgitate another mindless slogan, "No Person Is Illegal." Forget for a moment that this demonstrates a complete lack of knowledge regarding their own county's immigration laws, forget for a moment that these laws exist in practically every nation in the world and to a much harsher extent I might add, forget the fact that we obviously cannot allow just anyone to come here who wants to (there are about 6 or 7 billion people in the world), forget about all of the legal immigrants who are being jumped in line because they are trying to enter the right way. But what about the human cost?
Why should my government take my hard earned tax dollars and give it to foreigners who not only do not know America's founding documents and governing principles, but who positively refuse to learn English? Why should I pay into social security, medicare, etc. my entire life, and immigrants (particularly illegal ones) can get on the dole without paying one cent into these programs? Why should one border agent or American citizen be subject to theft, assault, rape, murder, or any crime for that matter from an illegal immigrant who shouldn't even be here?
Kids today think they are on the side of the good guys by considering themselves Democrats, and voting for Democrat politicians. Again, they have no idea how anti-semitic the Democrat party is becoming. They have no idea that there is such a thing as reverse racism and reverse sexism, and hating straight, white, males is exactly that. They don't seem to notice how the Democrats treat black conservatives. If the left-wing media were honest enough to report it, then these kids would see things that would make them wince to say the least, and puke to say the most.

I could go on all day, but let me close with this. If someone tries to give you a trophy you know you didn't earn, then don't accept it. If someone is trying to make you weak, then don't let them. Don't pop your kids full of Ritalin or Adderall because they seem a little hyper. Let them exercise and burn off the energy. Kids, put the phone down, get off of social media, and read a damn book once in a while. And I don't mean fiction, I mean NON FICTION. Most importantly, and this goes for everyone, listen to BOTH sides (the right as well as the left), use reason, stats, and facts in determining your points of view, and approach EVERYTHING with a healthy dose of skepticism.
