Kupiah meukeutop is one of the icon of West Aceh district. Traditional traditional hat of Aceh is usually used as a complementary clothing worn by men. Used during other traditional ceremonial and ceremonial ceremonies

Kupiah meukeutop made of red and yellow base colored fabrics. The fabric is knitted into a single, circular shape. Suburban bottom, there are motifs of webbing combined black, green, red and yellow. A similar webbing is in the center, which is circled by a circle of green cloth over it and a black cloth underneath.

In the lower head circle, there is a more dominant motif, shaped "lam" in hijaiyah. But there is a line that connects between the bottom and top of the motive. The same motif is also in the upper head circle. It's just smaller in size. At the top, there is a white yarn crochet as a golden yellow crown base, three-tiered.

The colors used have their own meaning. Red symbolizes heroism, yellow means kingdom or country, green signifies religion, black means firmness or determination, while white means purity or sincerity.

Overall, kuk meukeutop is divided into four parts. Just like in color, each part also has its own meaning. The first part is lawful, the second part, meaningful custom, the third part means kanun and the fourth meaning reusam.
