Mi Caluk, Traditional Culinary Aceh Like Spaghetti
Mi caluk is a popular food in Aceh. Especially better known today with mi caluk grong-grong, Pidie. Because it is a traditional culinary Aceh is sold in many markets grong-grong trajectory Banda Aceh-Medan.
One proof of mi caluk still favored by the people of Aceh can be seen there are many places selling this typical culinary Aceh which is similar to this spaghetti. Especially Ramadan, almost along the road in the city of Banda Aceh selling noodles caluk to break the fast.
Mi caluk is made from mi lidi which is sold in the market. Called with lidi noodles because it is similar to sticky and yellow. Then the noodles are boiled until cooked.
Then noodles mixed with peanut sauce that has a tasty and delicious sensation. Peanut sauce is made similar to soup sauce, but it is made from nuts and some other herbs.
There is also this Mi Caluk mixed with urap. Urap is a vegetable from sweet potato leaves that have been boiled, then mixed with grated coconut. This grated coconut is also given salt to taste and also chili.
