How It Works
On the PO8 decentralized platform salvaging process has been tokenized. Token holders will perform proof of stake bounty activities that will help in the excavation of the treasures. Bounty task are done on the MADS — Maritime Artifact Data System platform. The task involves data mining. Here PO8 gives information on locations of possible shipwreck site this points includes sonar, sand , silt particles geofloor mapping tidal waves, shifting sand, hurricanes and other useful tips that will help the expedition team.
After bounty task have been completed. Users will be rewarded with sub token called Silver base on the amount of token the user has in his wallet. On the PO8 platform there are two types of token issued and used. The PO8 token and a sub token Silver which is the reward token obtain when a bounty is completed which can be exchanged for PO8 tokens.
PO8 platform have an operating auction platform that handles the buying, selling and auctioning of the treasures and historic artifacts called — The Historical Open Auction Platform (HOAP). Here assets are authenticated before transactions are consummated which makes dealings more transparent and safer. Both currencies can be used in this platform that is the PO8 token or the Silver token.
The PO8 Historical Artifact Registry System (PHARS) is another function that can be done on the PO8 operating platform. IT generates a way to identify and certify the authenticity of excavated artifacts. It registers each item and creates a unique identification for them. With PHARS government agencies, museums and organizations can register historic artifacts and the records saved on the decentralised block chain technology.
