Bismuth Crystals in Rocks and Minerals
Bismuth Crystals: Lab Grown, Poland. Personal Collection
Bismuth is one of the easiest and most aesthetically pleasing metal crystals that you can grow yourself. The crystals have a complex and fascinating geometric form and are rainbow colored from an oxide layer that quickly forms over the crystals. Fun fact: The bismuth compound, bismuth subsalicylate is the active ingredient in Pepto Bismol.
