Russian president Vladimir Putin has announced Russia's official cryptocurrency 'CryptoRuble'.

  • It will be controlled and maintained by authorities.
  • It will not be mined.
  • CryptoRuble can be exchanged with regular Rubel.
  • Illegal possession will cause 13% tax deduction.

A few days ago Russia was talking about banning bitcoin completely. But CryptoRuble is one step closer to embracing cryptocurrency. This is a positive sign for cryptoworld.
