Tornado Cash: Congress requests information on sanctions policy

The sanctions imposed by the US Treasury Department on the Tornado Cash open source project have been criticized from all quarters. This is the first time in history that sanctions have been imposed on publicly available computer code.

It is thus forbidden for all American citizens to interact with this platform. Wallets that violate this rule are also blacklisted by US authorities, which in turn is passed on to crypto exchanges. The operators must then technically prevent transactions from being possible with the wallets.
