Evercoin is a Silicon Valley based cryptocurrency exchange founded and led by Talip Ozturk, the creator of Hazelcast, a popular open source in-memory distributed database in use at the biggest financial services companies in the world. Having seen the power of open source at some of the largest banks in the world, Talip was inspired to join the cryptocurrency movement which combines his love of open systems and distributed governance with his experience in large-scale high-performance financial infrastructure and distributed computing.

What is Evercoin?

What does it do?

Evercoin allows you to exchange one kind of cryptocurrency for another.

Evercoin lets you exchange one kind of cryptocurrency for another. Right now we support the following currencies. We plan to support additional currencies, please contact us if you have any in mind.

How does it work?

It works in three easy steps.

Let’s walk through a case where you want to get Ether and you have Bitcoin.

1- Set up the transaction

To set up the transaction, you can either type in the amount of Ether you want, OR you can type in the amount of Bitcoin you want to pay. In either event, Evercoin will automatically compute the exchange rate for the transaction. When you are ready you can press the “GET STARTED” button.

2- Enter destination and refund addresses

The destination address is the address where you will receive the results of the transaction. Please be sure that that address is able to receive the coins resulting from the transaction.

The Refund address is used to refund your coins in case of any problems. Say you wanted to exchange 2 BTC but send us 20 BTC which is above their exchange limit. In this case they would send your coins back to your refund address. Again, please be sure that the refund address is capable of receiving that currency, for example use the address for a Bitcoin wallet if you are sending Bitcoin.

After you have set the addresses, press the “Exchange” button.

3- Send the required funds

The next page will give you instructions on where to send Bitcoin including the deposit address. You can scan the QR code or simply copy the address.

Please be aware that cryptocurrency transactions are generally non-reversible so please be sure that you have put the correct addresses into the fields. Also, the time between when the transaction is sent and when it is confirmed depends on the blockchain and on the traffic and can in some cases take hours to complete.

Once they receive the Bitcoin, they send Ether to the destination you provided. The status bar will show you the progress. Wait until it says "ALL DONE".

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Let's assume Evercoin tells you that you will receive 7.55 LTC for depositing 1 ETH. That means if we receive -exactly- 1 ETH then you will get -exactly- 7.55 LTC. When sending your LTC we take care of the miner/network fee. No playing with the numbers, no surprises.

How can I track my order?

Each order has a unique order id. The order id looks like this:

Make sure you record your order id. On the order page you can also bookmark your order page so that you can check on your order anytime you like.

Once you have sent the cryptocurrency, closing the browser tab or navigating elsewhere will not affect the transaction. If you need help, please contact them or use their chat support visible in the lower right hand corner of the page.
