I thought for my first post I would talk about my first experience paying for a meal with crypto. I had heard the buzz around the Brisbane Airport International Terminal that the airport was now accepting crypto so thought I would try it out and purchase dinner at the terminal. Since taking on the task of being the world's first crypto-friendly airport, the payment option has been integrated across most outlets. I thought I would test out how it went. Firstly I asked "Do you take crypto payments?" For the first time, the answer was "yes". This made me smile!!

It was a learning experience for both of us as the staff member had noot done a crypto transaction before. I had pre-loaded some Litecoin onto my Coinomi Wallet. The payment option available were Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash or Litecoin. The transaction was quick and simple. The register provided a QR code that I copied and authorized through the app on my phone. The confirmation was almost instant, but certainly as quick as any other card payment. Overall it was a very simple process and the fees were minimal.

Remember to always ask "Do you take Cryptocurrency". I hope it's a start to further adoption of Crypto throughout Brisbane and Australia.
