Of course it would be great to decentralize the banking system right away. But just take a look on the market cap of crypto so far, how many people use it and how far the technology is right now. Putting all this together it's currently not possible at all to replace the traditional banking system.
Ripple connects both worlds and is, in my opinion, therefore at least on the short run my absolute favorite as it brings the benefits to all people.
On the long run I think we don't even know yet, which currency might be successful as they all still face issues etc.
We do not need the banking world. We never have, it was forced on us. Ripple hasn't even brought any "benefits" to anyone, except the banks themselves. The market cap says nothing about people using it. It's the banks playing with their trillions. Their tech is not any further than any other crypto, it's actually a lot behind it and fights against the whole notion of why we have decentralized currencies. Or any crypto in general. So just stay the fuck. Away.

For me it´s currently Ripple. Just got the best potential to connect to traditional business models in my opinion.
