How cryptocurrency covered my MBA studies.

Hello everyone, my American name is Megan, and I am from China. I just recently graduated with MBA degree in the US. I would like to share my story

It's not a secret that US education is expensive, and many students go in debts in order to get education. When I first entered MBA program, I was able to cover my education through scholarship. Also, I worked part-time as Starbucks barista on campus which helped me with pocket cash. However, my budget was very limited, and I had to plan my budget very carefully because education was taking every single penny out of my pocket. I knew that when I will graduate I wouldn't have any money left. But I was wrong.

I think it was some time in summer 2015, when I heard about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency the first time . To be frank with you guys, I was very skeptical over it, and I thought of BitCoin and other cryptocurrencies as some sort of scam or Ponzi Scheme.

I am not that tech savvy, and I didn't understand anything about blockchain technology at that moment. It sounded too complicated for me. No wonder I ignored anything related to cryptocurrency, and soon completely forgot about it.

The next time when I heard of it was January 2016. I discovered that price of Bitcoin has almost doubled since summer 2015 (I believe it went from somewhere around 250 to almost 400). At that moment I thought that if I would buy 10 coins in 2015, I would have around $4000 at that moment.
I felt a little bit jealous of my friend who bought Bitcoin, and was bragging about easy money he made.

Next week I was reading forums and articles about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. It was very hard for me because I couldn't understand 25% of the words. I finally understand major parts of it, but I am still not that good in precise details. Sometimes it can be like a rocket science for me.
I also got influenced by fear of missing out. I believed that I still have a time to invest. I spent about $1200 to buy 3 coins at that moment. That was all my "reserve fund" money which I had. I wasn't 100% sure but at the same time I was confident about future value growth of Bitcoin and other altcoins.

Some time during spring I read more about Ethereum and bought about 8 ETH. That costed me about $350 at the moment. When I finally reached my graduation line at school, I discovered rapid growth of Cryptocurrency value. I couldn't believe that my $1200 turned into $8400, and that my 10 ETH coins turned into $3000. Yes, I didn't make millions and my story is not as exciting as stories of those, who became millionaires overnight, but money which I made covered all my previous education expenses for my MBA.

I re-invested about 20% of bitcoin and Ethereum money in other coins, including STEEM. I am sure that STEEMIT has huge potential, and it's truly amazing platform. I was able to find a lot of useful information here, and I would like to share some of my knowledge with community too. Unfortunately, I am not that good investor to give financial advises, but I enjoy cooking, and I would like to share some of my Chinese cooking recipes, and demonstrate diversity of Chinese food. Soon, I will make step-by-step instructional story with pictures!

Thank you for reading!
