Solving Comment Spam

Rewarded  content is a revolutionary concept in social networks. Many users tend  to misuse the comment feature just to earn rewards. We have decided not to reward comments. As there is no incentive for comments, users will make quality comments only and thus improving the overall system content.

Solving up-voting trending posts

The  users are influenced by trending patterns and they usually up-vote to  the trending post without reading the post in pursuit to earn rewards.  We found a solution to this problem. We are going to hide the voting results for a week.  This will force the user to vote with his conscience rather than  rewards in the mind. Users will not have any clue if the trend is up or  down. After the weekday period, payout rewards are issued based on the  weighted average vote. Even if user down-votes an article, he still gets  paid if many users voted for the same.

Reward Payouts

Every review is special and there might be users who can discover it after few days. We wanted to reward the contributor for one month by giving them due credit they deserve. Contributors can earn $OOT whenever a user finds their articles and up-votes them for a period of 30 days.

Retaining $OOT value

We found four ways to retain utrum tokens $OOT value

1. 5% APR interest will be given to users for a 90-day vesting period. This will stop inflation to some extent.
2. 30% of total supply will be burned in due course of time. This will happen ONLY with ad revenues. Whenever the platform receives ad revenues, 30% of the revenues will be burned till we reach 30% of total supply.
3. Reward  payouts will be primarily paid from Ad revenues. If the ad revenues are  low, only then payouts are made from 50% reward pool. As the platform  grows, the system will sustain on ad revenues and inflation will be very  low. The circulation supply will be less and OOT will have more demand  moving forward.
4. Two week lock period to release contributor payouts. This will help to stop $OOT flooding the market.
