These types of websites can be extremely polarizing and many people have a strong opinion about them one way or another. Some say, it’s an obvious outright scam and you shouldn’t even consider putting money into it. If you’re here perhaps you’re considering it and want to know what the dangers are. If that applies to you, I’m here to get you up to speed on ETHCONNECT!
First thing Note that I am not a financial advisor, just a guy who does alot of research on crypto related topics and ICO’s to jump start your due diligence process. Let’s jump right in.
Now I am going to be straight with you. If you’re expecting to join this platform or any like it and continue to use it for any lengthy period of time, we can assume you are either new to the crypto space or ill informed. I was too when I began so no shame in that.
So what is Ethconnect?
Ethconnect is a lending platform just like Bitconnect and RegalCoin We know this because their 5 stars reviews repeat it over and over again, seriously go have a look at their Facebook it’s comical.
Whitepaper
It’s white paper is 30 pages long complete with massive text that has about one paragraph per page with some exceptions. Most of these pages are definitions of industry lingo like smart contracts ICO P2P and so on. It’s poorly written by someone who is both attempting to sound intelligent and failing spectacularly. It describes a business that is like the dollar and like ethereum while being the same as ethereum all at the same time. Not sure how you do that but I sure am excited to find out!
Way’s to profit
Lending – The lending platform is due to go live on Dec 1st and this is where you can profit from the ETH trading bot and volatility software. Basically you lend out your ETHCONNECT coins for a set amount of time and you will earn a variable daily profit. After the set amount of time your initial capital is returned. They have claimed to return up to 45% or even 52% but we will have to wait and see how this plays out once the platform goes live.
Staking ECH which is due to go live on Dec 10th. For this one you just need to hold your coins in your wallet and you will receive interest on your balance in return for helping maintain the security of the network
Trading – This is where you can hold your coins in your own wallet or trade your ECH coins directly on an exchange
ECH Mining – ETHCONNECT will provide the POW algorithms so anyone will be able to mine the coins for themselves.
ICO
It’s ICO is on NOV 1st and is scheduled to last until the end of the month or until their hard cap of 8 million coins is reached. They will have a total of 31million coins with a whopping 70% staying with Ethconnect.
A bonus will go to those who invest in the first hour of the ICO getting an extra 15% of tokens for the money. The ICO price goes up as more tokens are sold beginning with .50 cents per token from 0-1 million tokens and ending with a value of 1 dollar per token. Naturally the early bird get’s the worm.
The affiliate program
Just like bit connect they have an affiliate program and surprise surprise it’s shaped like a pyrmaid. But I bet you didn’t notice that since they cut it in half. Now this is the real reason we are seeing ethconnect everywhere. It pay’s affiliates a whopping 8% just from the first level, a massive 3% for the second level and 1% for the third level. So is it a scam?
I’d say that’s obvious, it’s just a question of when the music stops will you be in the green or the red. That is too hard to tell since it’s entirely up to the owners and at what stage they pull the plug.
Will I join the ICO?
Yes I will be buying into this ICO with a small percentage of my portfolio. This is a highly speculative play and as such should be treated with caution. It is absolutely high risk and high reward so I can legitimately say Don’t put in any money you wouldn’t put down in a casino. This is the equivalent to walking into the casino and picking a number on the roulette table. There is nothing stopping this anonymous team from running away with everyone’s money right from the get go and doing nothing further with the program. That said, it seems like they’ve put more than a bit of thought into it and I genuinely think they could COULD replicate Regal Coins success as that route would yield them more money in the long term.
Rapping Up
There’s a lot of greedy people out there who missed the Bitconnect ride, they missed the Regalcoin ICO and now they want to cash in. This could be the opportunity for those greedy individuals. Just be sure to scale that greed way back so you don’t lose something you couldn’t afford to.
