Mega chat app Kik offers Kin cryptocurrency to go live
Kin, a cryptocurrency which is developed by the makers of Kik Interactive, has gone live in the popular chat app, Kik for a group of 1,000 beta testers to test the usage of Kin cryptocurrency.
Kik, aims to become the first application to integrate the cryptocurrency into its core platform.
Kin, aims to provide better experience for Kik users.
The main goal of Ted Livingston, founder and CEO of Kik and Kin, is to make Kin the most widely used cryptocurrency in the world.
The functionality will be extremely limited at the beginning. Testers can earn kin by completing in-app microtasks such as taking a quiz or viewing a tutorial. Later they can then use these tokens to purchase premium themes for the app’s chat screen from the new Kin Marketplace. During beta trial, users will not be able to deposit or withdraw tokens.
