Korecoin: A Cluster of Related Security Projects Evolving into a Universe all its Own.

KoreCoin is back, and with a new Team assembled, ready to rock the privacy scene like an Asteroid Impact. Its namesake is taken from the “KORE,” of Greek Mythology (aka Perse“phone,” hence a play on words). In these turbulent times such as ours, not often less dramatic than those found in Greek Mythology, KoreCoin, and its related Software Suite aims to bring Anonymity and protection to your Privacy and Information Security in a simple ecosystem, just before We thought it may have been too late…

It’s amazing what cryptography has enabled in the Information Sciences in the past few decades. Encryption has made numerous technologies possible that have resulted in a paradigm shift in global commerce, communications, and consciousness. Two that stand out particularly for me are Blockchain Technology and Tor, these two developments alone are changing what’s possible and how it’s possible in nearly every aspect of our lives.

When we look at all this rapid and fantastic progress at decentralizing, automating, digitizing, and democratizing these aspects of our lives across the globe, it’s easy to forget the potential dangers of everything “Going Digital.” We have seen worrying increases of exposure to attack on these systems we are growing to depend upon from hackers, and, equally of concern, a massive personal data mining complex formed that has the ability to predict us, reveal our private lives, and ultimately, as a consequence, subjugate the masses.

Over the past few days I’ve researched KoreCoin and its related suite of projects. I’ve also interviewed MikeMike, The Kore Team Director, and Funder of development, as well as The Kore Team Head of I.T. (who will be doxed as with most of the team members in the future) about these projects during a two hour voice conference, and, in doing so, have gotten to understand the team’s viewpoint on privacy and security. I’ve had something of a reaffirmation of my belief that the right to, and necessity of, exercising one’s Privacy and Information Security is among one of the most important arenas there is this decade where we must press and protect our freedoms. Making this possible in a decentralized and accessible way is precisely what the cluster of software the Kore Team is developing will do. And do it in a way that makes it easy and enjoyable for the public to use on many kinds of digital devices, till High Security and Protection of Personal Privacy is an assumed Global Standard.

Firstly, there is the soon-to-be-released, and newly-built-from-scratch, KoreCoin Wallet, which will have a Tor-utilizing Anonymity Browser built-in called “KoreSURF,” in its current implementation. Now, people will be able to surf the web with the protection of Tor, without having to know a thing about how to install it. Unfortunately, many people are not technically inclined to the extent that they would download and use Tor on their system, soon, that won’t matter. This Browser is part of the KoreCoin Wallet, so, when sending and receiving KoreCoin, it too will have the added layer of Tor’s protection, greatly enhancing Privacy and Security, particularly from correlations of meta-data.

“KORE is the Worlds first to integrate Tor into staking and transactions and is active now, We re-integrated it into the most recent Tor release in the new wallet.” “The KORESurf Tor Browser and the Tor Masternodes are functional and in testing.”-MikeMike

Next, there is “KoreVoIP,” which will enable anonymous and secure text, talk, and eventually video, this, as a function integrated into the wallet with the team’s goal to have it protected via Tor. The Team is working on the ability to make Regular number calling right from the wallet also.

Anonymous POB is planned, that is: “Proof of Burn.” This is a feature of the KoreCoin blockchain that will enable KoreCoin to be sent to an address on the Blockchain from which they never can be recovered, then you receive slightly less “new,” coins back; This effectively eliminates the old coins, and the “new,” coins have no history of where they were sent from. This will make KoreCoin a Deflationary Currency. I am a huge fan of the deflationary Crypto-Currencies, as it is a good way to preserve value per coin, as bitcoin (to which alt coins are compared when determining price) rapidly increases in value over the next years to come.

“PoBA has undergone a few revisions to make it even more ANON so will be lastly implemented and could change in how it functions.” -MikeMike

There is Æther OS, an Operating System, built from scratch, starting only with the Linux kernel. It’s specifically designed from the ground up with security and privacy in mind, without the front and back doors found in nearly all popular operating systems today, which put billions of people at risk from hackers, be they state-sponsored, or otherwise. Æther is intended to run as a Cross-Platform Operating System, so the same security you get on your PC, you will soon get on your smartphone. This alone could be an ICO in itself, as could a number of the Kore projects, but is only one of the cluster of projects underway in the Kore Software Ecosystem, and could potentially be spun off in the future.

Lastly, at least within this article, there is KOREBay: a Decentralized Anonymous Marketplace for the exchange of Goods, Services, and Value, and will also be part of the wallet. To note, KOREBay, dependent on country and state, will not promote nor tolerate the sale of unlawful items to the public.

“KOREBay can be opened through a link in the KORESurf Tor Browser and through the Æther OS once released.” -MikeMike

All this is why I refer to KORE as an “ecosystem,” because all the projects will integrate into/with the others, using KoreCoin’s Blockchain Technology where possible. All of it, built from scratch, some projects nearly completed, (the new Wallet/anon Browser) with their primary emphasis on Anonymity, Decentralization, and Privacy, because the Kore Team feels and knows that these values are Human Rights that should be readily available to us all, much in the manner Satoshi Nakamoto wanted.

For full disclosure, as a Crypto-Currency Trader I have taken a position in $KORE, and do expect its valuation to increase in the future. This is not Investment Advice, but merely my opinion.
