Top 5 Awesome Things crypto enthusiasts made (with their bare hands)

Where would the crypto galaxy be without the tireless support of its community? Behind every coin, both Bitcoin and altcoin, there's a crowd of dedicated supporters. Like there is a strong woman (m/f) behind every successful man (unless they are single of course, then they have something else to hold on to). And when it comes to crypto not only strong or dedicated, but also handy. The kind of person who turns into a MacGyver when a light fixture is broken. Who makes stuff with his bare hands.

Browsing on the internets we stumbled across tons of cryptocurrency aficionados who took their crypto-affection to a whole new level. And created amazing stuff out of thin air. Buckle up for some first-class craftsmanship, right from the heart of the ecosystem. In random order of course, no playing favourites here (okay, number 3 is our favourite).

Top 5 Of Awesome Things Cryptocurrency Enthusiasts Made

5. Woodworking is like mining. But with wood

Great stuff, this wooden Nano. Easily scores a 10 on the scale of Ron Swanson. Some swear words came out of the workshop after RaiBlocks rebranded, and the handyman in question had to start again from scratch. Carved out of wood with a keen eye for detail. Used tools: bandsaw, spokeshave and an oscillating spindle sander. A jewel for any interior.

4. A Bitcoin Thing

From the picture it's hard to tell what the exact size of this object is. Is it a medal? Is it a gong? We don't have the foggiest idea. But what we know is someone spent quite some time in the garage to finish this Bitcoin Thing. Oh, and of course it's not a gong. We are smarter than that. It's made of stained glass and glass tends to break when you hit it with your gong-stick. So for now, let's assume it's a sacred relic for the Bitcoin Embassy.

3. So your wallet doesn't support your coin? No biggie for this guy

What to do if your coin of preference is not supported by your hardware wallet? Do you file a complaint at customer support? Or hodl until Nano or Trezor come up with solution? Not this guy. Because he has IOTA ninja skills. Managed to generate an IOTA-address with his non-compatible Nano S. Received compliments from hot-tempered IOTA co-founder David Sønstebø. Which is rare. And this is not where it stops: "Currently (...) we start on creating the functionality that will allow the Ledger to sign and create transactions."

2. In case you are not the DIY type. Get it from a store (non-sponsored)

Stellar announced some interesting updates earlier this week. If this solid-metal token is on the roadmap as well, is unknown at the moment of writing. A welcome solution to the crypto enthusiast who desires an aura of craftsmanship, but is not blessed with the exceptional motor skills of the people above. Plunk down 10 dollars and you become the owner of this physical token. Other coins available as well (possible spin-off: a physical sh*t coin).

1. From Dark Web to Black Tea

An anonymous crypto coin always comes in handy, when you'd like to buy.. tea. This kiwi entrepreneur meets this need with "a special blend of kava with a bit heavier profile that can only be purchased with Monero". The blend is called "Privacy Blend" and available online. Also available online: white sugar.
