I read somewhere that the government is looking at calling crypto coin a "raw material" ? It's kind of along the lines of what you were saying with the gas metaphor except they are considering it akin to steel, or copper. I think the US government is also looking for any possible way to NOT call it currency--they want to tax it, but if they acknowledge it as money, then lives will get messy for that DC gang! It's crazy to see how archaic the US is being in terms of blockchain tech--Estonia is embracing it full on using the term e-government, and our guys are still talking about horse and buggy answers. Anyways--if I find that raw material article again i'll post it.
