Tidbits

When making the list of the Top 50 Highest Ranked and Most Influential Websites in Crypto-currency, I came across some interesting facts and data that could not be included. I believe this information to be pertinent if not at least interesting to those interested in crypto-currencies. This will be a 2 or 3 post series, so lets get started.

The first mention will be Raiblocks, now known as the crypto-currency NANO. Although they did not make the list of Top 50, they just missed. Their original website, Raiblocks.net, did have the most significant jump in rank, climbing 116,265 places in the last 3 months, giving it a Global Rank of #18,524. Nano is currently ranked 19th in Market Capitalization on Coinmarketcap.com, and this could partially explain NANO's recent upside in price.

One that I missed and should have been listed on the Top 50 was IOTA. Their website currently ranks Globally at #11,319 and in the US rank #23,738. This would have placed Iota's website at #48 on the list. Iota currently ranks 11th in Market Capitalization and should continue to do well.

One that was on the list at #45, ICOBENCH.COM, continues to make significant strides up. Since the list, Icobench has climbed in Global Rank from #8627 to #7829. Although this would on have placed them at #44 on the list of Top 50, the more significant stat is that in the last 3 months, the ICOBENCH.COM website ranking has climbed over 40,000 other sites. A testament to the world's desire for crypto-currency, especially the ICO's.

On the list at #44 was Cryptokitties.co, one of the many recent phenomenas in crypto. 32% percent of their web visitor come from the USA while slightly over 19% come from the ever vigilant China. Cryptokitties was launched in late 2017 and within about 4 months time, their website has climbed in ranking over 51,000 other websites. One other interesting piece of data gleaned from the Alexa.com ranking metrics is that Cryptokitties.co is one of the few crypto-currency websites that has more women visiting. Although Cryptokitties, as most the crypto-currency world, is still primarily visited by males, this shows that crypto-currencies can also appeal to women.

At #36 on the list was OKex.com, a fairly new yet popular crypto-currency trading exchange. Since the list, they have gained in Global Ranking from #4,273 to #3,895 which placed them at #33 on the list of Top 50 Websites. 35% of visitors to OKex.com come from China, while 32% come from Japan. Another interesting fact to pay attention to here is that 10% of OKex.com's visitors visit their support page. Hopefully it is to learn more and not because users are having problems.

Ledgewallet.com's website place at #34 on the list of Top 50 Crypto-currency Websites. Ledgerwallet remains the most popular Crypto-currency Hardware wallet based on the fact that it is one of the few but highest ranked. On another note, Ledgerwallet recently release an update for the Ledger Nano S wallet, so be sure to visit there site for more information and the update.

At #33 on the list of Top 50 was Bitmain.com demonstrating two things. The first thing is that Bitmain continues to host one of the biggest and most popular Bitcoin Mining Pools in the world. Secondly, this ranking also shows that Bitmain supplies the world's most popular Bitcoin mining hardware, particularly the Antminer S9. 70% of Bitmain's visitors got to Shop.Bitmain.com while over 10% ultimately land on the order.bitmain.com webpage.

At #29 on the list of Top 50, Upbit.com, a recently launched Korean Crypto-currency Exchange is a perfect example of Korea's interest in crypto-currency trading. Upbit.com's website currently ranks #99 in Korea, proving this point.

At #28 on the list, Bitcoin.org, one of the oldest websites in crypto-currency has over 5,800 other websites linking to Bitcoin.org

Stay tuned for more interesting tidbits gleaned while making the list of Top 50 Crypto-currency websites. See the list below.
