🐟 FISHBANK is on the Attack! The End is Near for CryptoKitties!
The day of reckoning has come for our cute little CryptoKitties...
Fishbank is officially on the prowl!
This morning emails went out to the Fishbank subscriber list announcing an official Stable Release Date along with a BETA launch date to continue testing on the Rinkeby Testnet. It looks like the creators of Fishbank have put a lot more thought and planning into the development and "gameplay" than the folks over at CryptoKitties.
With each announcement more and more features updates are released to demonstrate the level of interactivity this next virtual pet DApp will have. Epic fish battles with the winning fish evolving in stats and design, boosters and reward chests, among other features that will require the holders of these digital fish to remain 100% involved or risk loosing rank and power that will decrease the value of the assets.
Surprisingly enough, at this point they are reporting stable transactions on the testnet, but who knows what that means when if moves to the live public Ethereum network in March.
The Final Nail in the CryptoKitties Coffin
Then to top it all off, in an EPIC winner take all strategy, Fishbank announced it will reward anyone holding Gen 0 Cryptokitties in the same MetaMask wallet they have linked to their Fishbank account will be rewarded with a "Special Gift". I imagine this will be a top level fish (Epic or Legendary) as an equivalent to a Gen 0 Kitty that have no lost 80% of their value in the last 2 months.

They had a free fish period last month before the Alpha was released. Now they are allowing you to earn ETH on referral account purchases to help you get to a 'free' fish as it moves to Beta. they seem to be helping people get started as much as they can to make sure it is more successful than the failed CryptoKitties app.
