EXODUS wallet launches EDEN for advanced users - Many NEW ERC20 tokens added!

First... I am a big fan of Exodus wallet to store & exchange cryptocurrency!

It has great user friendly appeal, a slick design with lots of bells and whistles and is "Apple-esque" in it's "it just works" functionality. Plus, you get that cool coin jingling sfx sound whenever you receive or exchange coins.

Unfortunately Exodus is a desktop only wallet at this point - I really do prefer hardware wallets to a desktop or mobile option, as the 12 word seed is only displayed on the gadget, so hackers won't see it on a compromised computer. But as an additional tool for a blockchain tech investor/user the Exodus platform offers a lot of appeal and power.

So, I was just coming down off the high of OMG being added to their wallet recently... What's OMG? It's the cryptocurrency for money exchange popular in Asia right now, by the company Omisego (for new arrivals from that fiat cave on Mars). It's being used in McDonalds in a test case in Thailand as we speak, and it recently shot up in value second only to NEO in popularity with Asian fintech investors. Yes, I do own a small amount of OMG, and yes, I store it in Exodus - well of course! Which I got directly by exchanging it in the wallet for ETH, using the built in shapeshift. Did I mention Exodus has shapeshift built in?

So you can see why I am enjoying Exodus. But there's always been a few drawbacks with the awesomeness that is EX... they are slow to add new cryptos - which is a good thing/double edged sword as well, as they are really researching tokens (and the teams behind them) and vetting them carefully. This protects us users from scams and neer-do-wells.

But it would be nice to have ERC20 token support similar to MEW - MyEtherWallet.com. This is my other favorite "must have wallet" which sinks up with hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger Nano S. MEW rocks. This is where you can store all your tokens from ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) and when buying them from exchanges or peer to peer sites like EtherDelta. ...If you don't have a MEW wallet, that should be your first stop after getting EXODUS setup. ;)

Also, it would be great if EXODUS wallet offered more alternative coins like District0x (full disclosure - I own a small bit of this currently), BCH, Ethereum Classic and Factom etc.

Cue the drumroll and dramatic music, raise the curtain... and the big reveal:

At 9 PM tonight on the BOXMINING Youtube channel, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Exodus Daniel Castagnoli announced their new product beta release known as EDEN. The future wallet design will have many of the features I just mentioned, namely ERC20 token support and support for many new coins (see above).

A few caveats... EDEN is for advanced users ONLY, and will not be supported by EXODUS staff currently, if anything breaks or you make an error using it. Support will only be available from the EXODUS community of fellow users. So cut and paste and double check your addresses carefully, use small test amounts to send back and forth first etc.

This support will undoubtedly change in the future if/when these features/tokens are added into the full Exodus wallet.
