Comments of note from Tharman Shanmugaratnam, deputy prime minister in charge of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS):

1. "For now, the nature and scale of cryptocurrency trading in Singapore does not pose risks to the safety and integrity of our financial system."
   Alright!

2. "We will keep highlighting to Singaporeans that they could lose their shirts when they invest money in cryptocurrencies."
   Fair enough, shirts are good. Especially because you can be fined in Singapore for walking around your house nude (when windows are open).

3. "We will continue to encourage experiments in the blockchain space that may involve the use of cryptocurrencies, because some of these innovations could turn out to be economically or socially useful."
   Thank goodness someone did their DD and saw that this technology needs to be researched and built upon, not shunned!
