Ripple's surge past $3, Hits all time high
Ripple's XRP token has hit an all time high of $3 which is just two weeks after it surpassed $1 for the first time. This also means that the cryptocurrency has risen more than 1000% from last month and more than 144% on the week according to CoinMarketCap.
This has caused the XRP token to land its place as one of the most valuable cryptocurrency.
XRP's price has benefited significantly from Ripple's new partnerships with banks, the follow through on their 55 billion XRP escrow commitment, and the AMEX/Santander/XRP partnership announced in November
The XRP also increased its lead over ethereum, long the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap with over $30 Billion lead. Ripple passed ethereum in market cap less than a week ago. The same way Ripple climbed so has other cryptocurrencies now with the total market cap surpassing $750 billion just a day after it surged past $677 billion.
