Still, there’s Ripple, trading below a $1. And there are experts who believe that it could be the next Bitcoin, one day.
John-Paul McCaffrey, Associate Director ITRC, Long Island University, agrees. “Although currently there isn’t a platform to exchange fiat currency for Ripple (XRP) this may change sooner than you think,” says McCaffrey. “There is speculation that Coinbase will be adding this to their list of cryptocurrencies they have available for fiat exchange. Providing easy liquidity through Coinbase alone will attract new interest in XRP.”.
Few points to consider-
- Its faster transaction speed
- lower fees make it easier for financial systems to embrace the virtual currency
- sheer dollar volume that separates each of the three currencies in the top positions, in terms of their market cap
Conclusion-
Ripple investors have to wait for quite some time before they replicate the success of early Bitcoin investors, provided that it gains traction by users -- and that big governments, big banks or hackers do not crush cryptocurrencies across the board.
Ripple is very tricky crypto, I avoiding ir from the beginning... It is more better coins around, you can check NEM coin for example, event probably Tron better then Ripple, but it is my opinion.

Ripple is decentralized an has a small window of being successful anytime soon. Your best bet is Nano, Neo, BCH, ETC, ETN..
Yes Ripple could reach 5 or 10 dollars in the next 5 or ten years, but why wait that long when there are so many other BITCOIN opportunities to be had!
