China's Anhui province has been arrested after stealing 150 MW of electricity from a crypto-money mining company with more than two hundred computers. The miner claimed he did not know the cost of the operation.

In the past few days in China, where crypto-money mining has a significant share of electricity consumption, police forces have raided the tribe of a crypto-money mining company. It was discovered that Chinese citizens who did not share the name did Bitcoin and Ether mining on two hundred computers. According to the statement made by the authorities when the confiscated persons were arrested, a total of 150 MW of illegal electricity was used in the mining operations.

In April, when he received equipment for the crypto-money mining and founder of the facility, he explained that he did not know about the cost of the crypto-money mining when he bought the equipment in his statement. Later, the person who learned that the electricity consumption of 930 dollars (6000 yuan) per day was needed for the operations, started to operate the plant without paying by shorting the electricity meter. Police investigating the intensive electricity consumption in the region reached the number of short-circuited and mining operations detected.

Recognizing the electricity consumption of the mining operations in the country, the Chinese government has been trying to limit the operations with numerous arrangements since the passing of the year. The miners, whose operations are under pressure by the government, plan to transport their mills to more productive countries such as Canada and Iceland in terms of mining. On the other hand, it is estimated that the amount of electricity consumed worldwide for Bitcoin mining will reach 0.5 percent of the electricity consumed in one year at the end of the year.
