The Top 5 Crypto Podcasts ... According to Me
With the flood of great content around cryptocurrencies, game theory, economics, blockchain, DLT ... I find podcasts hold firm ground as my go-to resource to cover a lot of territory with the best thinkers. When I'm sitting at my computer watching videos, reading posts or tweets, I'm open to distraction. When I listen to podcasts, I find myself immersed in the discussion.
On to my picks...
- Let's Talk Bitcoin! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 At some point, this grew into the LTB network, which includes several shows under the same podcast feed. Keep your eye out for the shows titled "Let's Talk Bitcoin!", the OG podcast. The core hosts are Stephanie Murphy, Adam B. Levine, and Andreas Antonopoulos. Their conversations are honest, clear-minded, and devoid of the hype and pumping that often happens around these subjects. If you want solid discussion of the current state and the future vision around Bitcoin, this is the best podcast, hands down.
- Unconfirmed 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Hosted by Laura Shin. She began the podcast as Unchained under Forbes, but recently went independent under the new name. Be sure to check out both. She snags interviews with top-notch thinkers and entrepreneurs in the space.
- Coin Mastery 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Hosted by Carter Thomas as a YouTube channel and podcast, this is the only podcast I listen to that comes with a focus on investing & trading. He's not master with technical analysis of charts, but that's why I like it. He discusses the biggest of the big news, contextualizes it, and ties that in with a bit of what's going on with the charts. So you could say he looks at fundamentals, macros, big news, and a bit of technicals. But that is really just the starting point. He also weaves in solid investing psychology to help you keep your head screwed on right. What I appreciate most is that he's even-keeled in good times and bad times. And he keeps up on the news, so I don't have to. Best of all, he's not pumping out a ton of podcasts with a new focus coin every day.
- The Bad Crypto Podcast 🚀🚀🚀 First and foremost, these guys are highly entertaining. They're easy to listen to when you don't want to be challlenged with the inner workings of the Lightning Network. They also cover a lot of ground with a wide range of subjects and guests. I've discovered a lot of great resources (people, websites, services) through them. That's the good. Now for the bad (the disclaimer). I feel they sometimes drift too far to the side of hyping and have scammy guests on. I'm not a big fan of Ronnie Moas, who's been a guest a lot recently -- and they love him. I'm less enamored. So listen with your big boy pants on and don't go spending money you don't have after listening to them.
- Epicenter 🚀🚀🚀 This podcast covers a wide variety of blockchain projects and cryptocurrencies. They've covered a good number of coins that might be a bit scammy, but they're not just sitting back and letting people hype, either. Check out their Steemit interview with @ned, where they give him a hard time about the Steem token launch. They're not the best interviewers or always, but they get great guests and cover a wide range. No one else really does this. I recently enjoyed their discussion with Mance Harmon about Hashgraph. This is also available as a video, but is much better as just audio.
