Crypto Binance Exchange is developing: now you can buy cryptocurrency using Visa and Mastercard
According to a press release published on January 31, the leading crypto stock exchange Binance has added support for the acquisition of cryptocurrency using credit cards. This was made possible through partnership with the Simplex payment platform.
Binance CEO Changpen Zhao noted that the exchange "wants to provide Binance traders with quick, easy and secure access to the crypt." Zhao added that exchange customers can buy digital assets using credit cards and "start trading in a few minutes."
Zhao stressed that “the crypto industry is in the early stages of development, and most of the world's money is still in fiat form,” which, he said, is the reason why fiat gateways are very important for the growth of the ecosystem.
Nimrod Lehavi, co-founder and CEO of Simplex, noted that for ordinary users, easy and quick card payments are "a key factor in the wider acceptance of the crypt as a whole."
According to a press release, Binance users will be able to use Visa and MasterCard cards to purchase Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP).
According to CoinMarketCap, Binance is currently the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. Over the past 24 hours, transactions worth a little less than $ 700 million have been made on the platform.
Last year, the Cointelegraph news platform also collaborated with Simplex to provide users with a tool to buy BTC, ETH and BCH via credit cards.
