Astronaut ICO, the coin that wants to be the ICO king

Picolo research, a private and independent research house incorporated in Singapore, is offering reports on ICOs happening all around the world. The report are generally accurate and provide good information on the possible outcome of an ICO to potential investors. They also offer consulting services (corporate advisory, capital raising, etc.), the team seems to know what they’re doing (check it out here).

I analysed some of their past reports and compared it to real life results and most of the time they were right in their conclusions. So why am I talking about this company?

Well, soon (mid/end September), they will release their own ICO. You might think, is it the right time to launch an ICO, seeing China’s decision among others? You may be right, but I thought that their idea is pretty good, so let’s discuss it, will you?

In some days, their whitepaper will be available and we will know more on the methodology that will be used. The basic idea is that the token will act as an investment tool, the money raised will be invested mainly in ICO’s (~ 50%) in listed coins (~25%), the 50% remaining will be for fixed assets and a reserve fund. This hybrid investment approach should create a balanced managed portfolio, between the high growth but risky ICOs and the rest. Holders of the coin will receive quarterly dividend from their coin resulting in the investments from the company. The coins will also be listed on major exchanges.

Considering the quality of their research reports published and the apparent professionalism of their team, I think that this ICO is a pretty good idea. The “main risk” is to be the prime target of regulators worldwide. Picolo research is treating the coin as a security and dividends will be paid out in the form of ETH based on the performance of the underlying investments.
US, Singaporean and Chinese investors can therefore not invest in this ICO (in the coming weeks, they will advise if accredited from these already regulated countries can invest). Another point to take into account is that no % information has been released regarding the dividend ("Every quarter, Astronaut distributes bonuses to its holders of the token for a consistent income stream")
