CAN CRYPTOCURRENCY END POVERTY IN AFRICA?
With a population approaching 1 billion (856 million in 2010 and growing) with expectations of 2.7 billion people by 2060 Sub Sahara Africa will have to create a huge economy to keep up with all of those new people. Extracting raw materials and selling them to the world for pennies on the dollar is not exactly the answer though. Africans must adapt new technology that will allow their economy to grow exponentially. After all any economic growth will have to at least match if not outpace population growth. After centuries of exploitation by not only the west but by countless 'Strong Men' posing as just rulers isn't it time for the average Sub-Saharan African to take their economic freedom into their own hands? How? Cryptocurrency, alt-coins of course. Whether it be BITCOIN, STEEM, or a host of other crypto's Africans finally have the option of turning their backs on the corrupt currencies they have been forced to use and chose a truly transparent electronic version of their choice. Now I'm not trying to give financial advice to all of those economically abused folks in Africa, just making a couple of observations from my point of view. http://blogs.worldbank.org/africacan/7-facts-about-population-in-sub-saharan-africa
