BTCClock.io scam - No longer paying - just another HYIP thats done a runner
So as many of you already know, HYIP schemes are basically Ponzi Schemes and their glory days always end in the creator doing runner once the scheme starts to breakdown and as more money is pulled out than put in.
Unfortunately BTCClock.io is another one of these scams, leaving many people burnt once again. The site admin reported this:
Dear users!
With deep regret we have to inform you that we're forced to stop our platform’s activity.
The reason is avalanche-like funds withdrawals because of the coming SegWit.
Until the last moment we have been trying to fulfill the commitments. That has been done at the expense of our trading strategy, but we tried to meet our clients’ needs first of all.
But the today's crash of the BTC-E exchange has become too strong hit for us, because last time the most of funds were traded there.
But we promise that in the nearest time we'll create a new project and come back to you.
Sincerely,
BTCCLOCK Team.

They will usually let you make a first withdrawal to test the system works, then when it comes time to withdraw larger amounts then your transaction remains pending
Unfortunately, they probably anticipated that a lot of people with any bitcoin will pull it out the system so it can be stored into an offline wallet or one that will support the upcoming free BitcoinCash coins as a result of the fork.
Fortunately for me, I managed to pull out my initial investment early on, but have lost all the profits I made from the looks of things as they stand now.
It was always a dodgy looking company when looking at the company registration.
Share your stories of how you got burnt by BTCClock.io or similar in the comments section below. Am curious to see what experience people have had with BITCONNECT COIN (BCC) investment scheme which is a lot less daily interest and longer term investments which seem to be more legit
edit: Rumour has it that BTCClock had to close down for now due to the BTC-E exchange money laundering case at present as BTCCLock was supposedly using their exchange to trade Bitcoin. There is some chatter that once BTC-E is up and running again, that BTCClock may be able to return some funds and open a new platform. I am very doubtful of this happening but would love to be proven wrong.
