10 of the Best Cryptocurrency Tools
Let me start by saying that this list is subjective. These are simply 10 tools that I have found the most value from in my cryptocurrency journey. I’m sure you’ll find other great tools here on Steemit as well. Most of these are for cryptocurrency investing, but I did include a few for those who mine cryptocurrency. So, without further ado, let's dive in!
CoinLib
https://coinlib.io/
This is one of my favorite tools due to all of its features. Like most of these tools, you can view the most popular coins and their value. But, there is so much more that you can do here. They have a portfolio section that easily allows for monitoring of the coins that you currently hold. I also like the news section, which provides updates on the market to help keep you informed. Additionally, they have a “tools” section that allows for price alerts, coin conversion rates, website widgets and more.
Live Coin Watch
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/
Although this site has all the bells and whistles that you’ll find on most cryptocurrency info sites, it also has features that make it stand out. My favorite thing about this site is that it allows you to easily see all information for each coin. There have been a few coins that I have searched for and they weren’t available yet, but they allow you to request a coin to be added.
ICO Watchlist
https://icowatchlist.com/
If you are interested in investing in any of the ICOs, then this will be a useful tool for you. You can view ICOs by current, upcoming, and finished. There is also a guides section that is great for understanding ICOs, as well as a statistics section to view stats by country, industry, year, and blockchain.
CoinWarz
https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
This is a tool that is extremely handy if you’re doing any cryptocurrency mining. You can view profitability for most algorithms. But, the cool part is that it allows for profitability based on hash rate and power usage. There is also a summary of each coin, which makes it easy to view difficulty, network hashrates, and even currency exchange information.
WhatToMine
http://whattomine.com/
This is another tool that will be useful if you mine crypto or plan to. I really like this one because you can input specific video cards for GPU mining. They have a little more information for each coin than that which you’ll find on CoinWarz.
CoinMarketCap
https://coinmarketcap.com/
Probably one of the most popular tools on this list and for good reason. This app, in my experience, is the most inclusive with 1534 currencies listed. It also has a lot of the features as seen with the other tools, including a currency converter and historical snapshots. One of my favorite sections on CoinMarketCap is the recently added section. This is where you’ll see coins and tokens as soon as they are listed on the site.
Crypto-CoinZ
https://www.crypto-coinz.net/
This site has tools that aren’t found on the other sites. This includes a master node calculator, crypto guides, recommended pools and more. It also allows for mining profitability calculations based on Nvidia and AMD video cards.
Trading View
https://www.tradingview.com/
This site is known for it’s charts, with some of the best software that you’ll see. One thing that makes this site a little different is that it is more of a social network for cryptocurrency traders. There are way too many features to list here, so you’ll definitely want to bookmark this one for future reference.
3Commas
https://3commas.io/
I almost didn’t include this one because you have to sign up to use it; however, I feel that it’s a valuable tool for minimizing risk. It’s great for beginners and helps build confidence in cryptocurrency investing. Plus, you get a $10 bonus for signing up...who doesn’t love a freebie?
Airdrop Alert
https://airdropalert.com/
If you’re looking for airdrops, then Airdrop Alert is the place to be. Currently, there are 85 active airdrops listed on their site, one of the most inclusive lists that I have found. Additionally, they have sections for upcoming and past airdrops. I feel I should probably put a warning here: NEVER give away private keys to your cryptocurrency wallets. Also, be mindful of suspicious wallets and use caution when downloading unknown wallets.
As stated in the beginning, this list is subjective. But, I keep these bookmarked and use them on a regular basis. I hope that you will also find them useful.
Please feel free to leave some of your favorite tools in the comments.
I like cryptocompare also.
https://www.cryptocompare.com/
Nice one! I love their reviews section, I haven't seen anything like that elsewhere.
Nice Rebecca! I haven't heard of a few of these! One of my new fave tools is Coinigy—charting tools for many exchanges, including smaller ones like cryptopia and huobi. You can even trade on it now. https://www.coinigy.com/features/
Coingecko is good for doing Fundemental Analysis-- they give scores for the development team, social activity and overall scores for hundreds of coins to help you invest in the best currencies.
I haven't heard of Coinigy, but it looks like it would be quite useful. Coingecko almost made my list; however, I felt it was too similar to the others.
