WOW COIN SCANDAL: Women loses about $27000 in crypto-currency con
Day before yesterday, the major Cryptocurrency fraud happened in Chennai,India. A conman held duping a Women into investing about RS 18 LAKHS (27000 USD) in an abandoned cryptocurrency platform called "Wowcoin".
Indrani, a pharmacist alleged that Madhesh, an agent of "wow coin Digital Solutions " approached her via Facebook and convinced her to invest in 'wowcoins'. After the conversation , this man introduced her to the Company's Directors who convinced her to invest in Cryptocurrency.
They promised her that wowcoins would grow 10 times in the First year and 1000 times in Third year. They also claimed that wowcoins would beat Bitcoins in future made believe her by showing Company's pamphlets , Promotional videos of celebrities and withdrawal receipts , photos of selling wowcoins.
Government of India has already Banned the Cryptocurrency Exchanges as it would be in a bubble.
In that case without proper Research and knowing the Statistics of Digital Currencies the Innocent Women lost her money.
So there are similar abandoned currencies like:
AVONCOIN
T - COIN
KARMACOIN
Wowcoin is abandoned because the developer had not renewed the domain name and there had , as of this year little no to trading activity.
One should very careful and think twice before investing in such Digital coins. Please proceed with caution when trading this coin
