Introduction-

There’s a lot of information about bitcoin trading out there, and a lot of it is wrong.
But not all of it. And there are two main reasons why:
First, most of the information isn’t based on actual data.
Second, most of the information is boring and isn’t interesting enough to be shared with your friends on Facebook or Twitter (which is where most people will be looking for crypto news).
In this post, I hope to get you thinking about which exchanges you should buy your bitcoin from. We’ll look at 10 different ones to choose from.

And we’ll do so in the context of cryptocurrencies, which can be traded online (like BTC) or in physical exchange (like ETH). That means we’ll look at both BTC and ETH here.

All exchanges are listed in alphabetical order by exchange name rather than by currency pair (just as I have done for some of my other posts). And each exchange is given a rating out of 5 stars, with 5 being best and 1 being worst. Of course, this is just my own personal opinion; you may find that some exchanges are better than others depending on your needs or preferences.

This list includes Coinmama (5 stars), Cryptopia (4 stars), Kraken (5 stars), Bittrex (3 stars), Coinbase (5 stars) and Mercatox (2 stars) along with Binance and Huobi exchanges which have been downloaded over 100 million times each.

Conclusion-

Many people ask me what I think of cryptocurrency investing as a whole, and I take the opportunity to provide a broad overview. When looking at the market as a whole, there are several different views on what cryptocurrencies are and what they can do. Some people insist that they have nothing to do with real world currencies, and are merely another digital “fiat currency”. Others argue that they have value despite being nothing more than an abstract concept; in fact, some argue that they can be used just like any other asset class (for example, gold or silver). Still others suggest that cryptocurrencies are an evolution of Bitcoin: a way for people to transfer value without any third party involvement.
I will try to cover all of these views in this post. For those who want to know more about cryptocurrencies themselves, this section has links to other posts in this series (which is linked in the above sidebar).
(And if you want even more information from me about cryptocurrencies and their use cases, please check out my book "Cryptocurrency Investing: From Day One" which is available now!)
