The success of a new currency

Good day fellow Steemians,

As I am spreading the word about cryptocurrencies to family and friends, some have started to ask doubtful questions about the digital gold (Bitcoin). I then tell them that the hype going around about miners are not for Bitcoin, but rather Ethereum and that this should not scare them off from beginning a long term investment opportunity with some of the bigger cryptocurrencies.

I believe that the biggest game changer for cryptocurrencies will not be SegWit2x or Casper, it will be mass market adoption from local and international companies like Spur (restaurant) , McDonalds (fast food), Checkers (grocery store) and BP (fuel) etc.

The more we use these currencies the higher the value will be and will start a chain reaction.
