I am a pretty good crypto-investor, and made a lot of money in the crypto sphere since I joined some years ago. Most of the profits are due to my experience and skills, but I have also used many tools that are, in my opinion, just as important in order to be up to date with the latest information and trends. I will share them here.

1) Bitcointalk

This forum is the gateway to the crypto world, without it, there is no cryptocurrency community, well Steemit might be another good place to gather information, but you are already on Steemit, and Steemit is doesn't have that much information yet, so I won't mention Steemit.

But Bitcointalk is a good forum where you can gain a lot of knowledge and information about cryptocurrencies and trends. Just watch out for trolls and scammers, there are plenty of those around there too. Other than that it's a very useful website.

2) Coinmarketcap

After Bitcointalk, this is the 2nd most useful website where you can keep track of the value of your investments. You could also use Poloniex, but Polo only shows the values in BTC, and the value of BTC is not very stable these days, so it's better to refer to it in USD.

Coinmarketcap shows the value of all altcoins in USD, BTC, the last 7 days of price, the total supply, and where you can trade them. Absolutely brilliant website, simple and easy to use. It's very very useful.

3) CoinGecko

It's similar to Coinmarketcap, but what I like about this website is that it shows you the technical specifications of a coin, the inflation, the block reward, so you can guess the inflation rate, etc...

It also shows you social media indicators, like how many Github commits there are (indication of development) and how many Facebook likes or twitter followers there are (which indicates demand). So it's more detailed than Coinmarketcap, very useful for in depth analysis of a coin.

4) LibreOffice

Many people are stupid and pay 300$ for proprietary spreadsheet software for their accounting and calculation needs. Others are pirating them, and risk being exposed to viruses, or even fines for piracy.

That is stupid, just go and get LibreOffice for FREE, and you can use this legally, and for free, and don't have to pay a single dime any more, essentially you can donate to them and support their project, but otherwise it's free.

LibreOffice is crucial to keep a portfolio, accounting, and other forms of financial calculations and charting. You can't do all the calculations in a paper or in your mind you need to visualize sometimes the profits and balances, and for that this free spreadsheet software is very important.
