Have you heard of zDEX?
Our amazing developers have a lot of things in the works for 2018 and one of those things on the roadmap to be released somewhere in the first half of 2018 is zDEX.
What is zDEX?
In a nutshell: zDEX will allow people to buy our zPIV using other currencies.
In case you don’t know what zPIV is: it’s a zero knowledge proof of PIV ownership. One of our latest innovations. We were the first to implement the Zerocoin protocol in a Proof of Stake coin and it made PIVX the most privacy-centric coin on the market. When we are finally ready to implement zDEX it will facilitate buying and selling of completely anonymized zPIV with zero history without in-wallet registration. A private decentralized exchange if you will.
Take a moment to really think about what this means. It will enable PIV holders to mint zPIVs and put them on the market which could result in potentially higher demand for PIVX to supply more zPIV to sell on zDEX. Who would buy these zPIV? People who want privacy.
It’s still a while away so nothing is set in stone but this is the main idea of it. We hope you’ll be looking forward to it as much as we do!

Good job! PIVX is really shooting for the stars!
I think one of the biggest barriers for PIVX (and other Altcoins), is that it is not convenient to directly trade FIAT/PIVX, and having to go through a gatekeeper like BTC or ETH, limits mainstream adoption. The next coup for network adoption would be to have a major retailer of needs, like a grocery chain, accept PIV. Any increase in merchant acceptance of PIV is good though. This is most important in the evolution of PIVX from being a speculative investment to the world's best currency. Tl;dr zDEX sounds like good news!
Is there a special reason why you use RSA-2048 for zPIV?
With the latest release of the 49 qubit processor from intel it think the days for RSA security are counted.
