- Merculet is extremely advanced in terms of technical concept. Merculets Whitepaper goes into some serious depth into how the platform will work and how the ecosystem will behave. Investors who are looking for some very technically sound concepts with some potential for real world usage are going to find a lot here. Tokenization is a hot topic and one that is bound to evolve over the next few years.
- Merculets Advisory Board is honestly a very strong point here. For example, Tang BinSen is the Founder of Elex and has been responsible for the promotion of games such as Happy Farm, Clash of Kings and other extremely popular/viral mobile games. We do have our concerns for Merculets “adoption” plan but the advisors here look strong enough to guide them through this. Other advisors include Shoucheng Zhang, a Professor at Standford University, Roger Lim, the Founding Partner of NEO Global Capital and many more.
Concerns -
- The biggest issue we have with Merculet is just how ambitious the project is in relation to how much development has actually been made. Merculet has some fantastic ideas that have great use cases but right now they aren’t being 100% clear how they intend to market/spread their technology. The fact that the project is still in very early development is not necessarily a “concern” because eventually this will change. Our “concern” is with their adoption strategy more than anything.
- Not a huge concern but Merculet is one of those coins that has a very large total supply compared to the initial circulating supply. This is all very normal and the Merculet team have already described how the Circulating Supply will increase, but investors should be aware that at the time of writing (June 30th, 2018) only 12% of tokens are in circulation. MVP will leak into the total supply which of course means “scarcity” of the MVP token decreases which in any situation has an effect on token value, regardless of how small.
