I tend to agree with the slow decline idea. And I would think there would be blips generationally. My mom would have a meltdown trying to deal with crypto. She still doesn't trust shopping online. Sure, there are some of the older generation who keep up with tech, but plenty who don't and find it overwhelming. The tipping point, at least in my prediction, wouldn't really come until most of the boomer generation has passed on (which sounds awfully morbid to say, sorry).
