I stay away from mining. Anything profitable seems to need some good hash rate and equipment.

Exodus wallet is pretty good for desktop. Coinomi and Jaxx are both pretty good Android wallets.

Don't listen to anyone's opinion on when to invest. Do your research and invest in where you find value.

I see value in Bitcoin and Ethereum... Litecoin possibly. See what happens with Bitcoin after segwit begins.
