Edge Wallet now supports Monero, Qtum, and Ripple (XRP)
Edge (formerly Airbitz) is extremely excited to announce the addition of Ripple (XRP), Monero, and Qtum to our multi-asset mobile wallet!
Many were stuck holding these assets with third party custodians or other crude wallet options without the ability to send, receive, and actually interact with these networks in a safe, user friendly way. Edge now makes it simple, familiar, and convenient to store and transact XRP, Monero, or Qtum alongside almost a dozen other cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, and any ERC20 token. This release also includes full support for XRP’s Destination Tag and Monero’s Payment ID for compatibility sending XRP to various exchanges.
Additionally, users will be able to buy XRP within Edge! Using our in-app integration partners, users can buy Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, or Ethereum with a debit and/or credit card through Simplex and then use Shapeshift to exchange their crypto for Monero or XRP! This can only be done in Edge, and all with the end user fully in control of their funds.
