First off, if you're thinking about transferring money into HitBTC right now, STOP. Remove your finger from your mouse, take a deep breath, and just don't do it. Many users are reporting transfers not depositing for days and weeks, and deposits appearing (and disappearing) but not being able to trade or withdraw. Best to wait this issue out for a few weeks (at least) until they resume normal operation. Read the forums.

For those of you that don't want to sift through Reddit and the HitBTC Support Forum for updates, here is the latest as of 7:20am PST 1/6.

HitBTC has been continuing to (sort-of) communicate that there are delays in processing withdrawals via notifications on the withdraw page and closed posts in the forum (yes, they just closed it after telling everyone to wait). Many on Reddit have reportedly been able to withdraw money converting to both ETH and DODG. That option is currently not available for all the TRX that has shown up in people's wallets in the last day or so on HitBTC. Those that still have problems appear to be trying to consolidate their specific issues (which range from deposits not showing up, to not being able to trade or withdraw) into single forum threads on their Support Forum with no real responses from support. Needless to say, many are pissed about the lost arbitrage opportunity, but even more a frantically waiting to remove their funds from HitBTC.

Users also report currencies disappearing and reappearing in their accounts.

At the time of this writing TRX still stands at a huge premium at $.24/TRX over other exchanges such as Binance at $.17/TRX. According to HitBTC they had a huge influx of new users (again, likely because of the arbitrage opportunity created with such a huge spread between exchanges) and clearly their system and support team couldn't (and still can't) handle it.

OPTIONS?

Accounts are being prevented from transferring money from to their trading 'account' (trading to other currencies) and withdraws have been suspended on many new coins. It appears the only real option is to submit a ticket and wait it out. Despite some users having success getting money out, it appears that that is not possible for the majority, especially those stuck in the TRX / TRX contract transfer debacle. Also, many users who have tried to withdraw TRX are reporting no transaction hashes and unresolved delays.

Hopefully, those with stuck money will be able to transfer their funds soon. What a disaster.
