What is Crafty?

Crafty is here to change the world of self-employment. They are aiming to do this by allowing users to develop an online reputation based on their previous work. With Crafty, if you provide a good service, your customers can leave a review, and in doing so earn CFTY. The review works both ways, allowing businesses to leave reviews about customers. The best part? It's free to use!

The process is simple. Log into Crafty, pick a professional based on their reputation, and pay them. You can pay directly by FIAT or through the platform using CTFY or credit cards. There are no intermediation fees, so the money goes directly to the service provider! After the service has been provided, both sides rate one another, at which point they receive their CFTY.

AI Assisted

The Crafty AI is designed to fight against manipulation by larger companies that can afford to out advertise their competitors. Since Crafty is a free platform, money cannot buy reputation. The AI algorithms are designed to optimize customer to business interaction by connecting users with the service provider that suit them best and are reputable.

The AI will also be used to advertise relevant services on Crafty that don't interfere with the reputation based system. So if you are hiring a painter, the Crafty AI may recommend where to buy paint, while still only matching you with the painter who is best suited for the job based on reputation and merits.

The Problem

The service sector is one of the most inefficient in terms of how much money from the customer ends up in the service providers pocket. This causes increased costs and therefore increased prices. By reducing intermediaries and connecting consumers directly to the service provider while still maintaining a quality assurance system, Crafty enables workers to receive higher wages while saving the end customer money. In today's market, inefficiencies cause workers to be only compensated about a quarter of what the customer actually pays for the service.

The History & The Future

Crafty originally operated as Diarissima in Brazil. The project initially started in mid-2015. Having experienced the market first hand and gaining knoweldge about the industry, they decided to start Crafty. With a large number of already satisfied customers, and many mistakes from which they have learned, the team is ready to tackle the world!
