PHONEUM - What is it?

So phoneum is a cryptocurrency made just for mobile and it will not be able to be mined on a pc. It is currently in Alpha state and at the time of writing this post, it is on a test blockchain. That means that all coins mined in alpha and beta test will be burned. As mentioned before, the team is working on improving the app and getting rid of people trying to mine with computers. Till version 0.6 emulators worked but that is no more since they fixed it. The main network is set to be released in September 2018.

Why Phoneum?

Phoneum as an app containing a miner and a wallet is extremly compact and uses only about 5Mb of space on your phone. Except for the extremly compact work of the team, Phoneum as a coin has many advantages. Since it won't be able to be mined on a computer, Phoneum uses different algoritam. It uses POW(Proof Of Work) and POT(Proof Of Time). With that in mind, it won't matter if you have the best phone in the world or the worst. Minimal android sistem required is 4.1 meaning any phone with sistem 4.1 or above will be able to earn Phoneum(PHM).For IOS sistems, IOS 10+ is required. When it comes to mining it, my phone was earning me a stable 1.5 PHM tokens per hour while temperature of the CPU never went over 40 degrees Celsius and temperature of my battery stayed on 29 degrees Celsius.

Usage of Phoneum

Certain companies showed great interest in phoneum as a currency they wana implement in their games, stores, mobile operators are looking to use it and so on. Everyone showed great interest in phoneum and as a coin that can not be mined by farms and so on, it has great potencial. Of course someone could buy a thousand phones and connect them all to mine but it would have to be connected into many accounts since max devices on one account is currently set to 20. That wont of course limit people to create multiple accounts and build farms but that is good since it will make the network faster and more stable.
